Juneteenth is a special day here at Karibe. Being a<\/strong><\/mark> black owned cookware<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> and<\/strong><\/mark> American Kitchenware Brand<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> it gives me great pleasure to feature Juneteenth. This federal holiday in the United States is fairly new, but inspire us to continue to build a brand with strong ethics and value to be an ideal representation of black business.<\/strong><\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Much like other brands that would like to insult the holiday and offer a Juneteenth Sale, we decided to pay respect and create a special post to commemorate our Freedom Day. Although I can\u2019t describe with words the full impact of the holiday, I will do my best to educate you on our Black Independence Day.<\/strong><\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you continue to read, you will notice that I will use various names to identify the holiday. This is part of the lesson. After your brief education session, it is only right that we provide you with a few foodies that represent <\/strong><\/mark>The Kulture<\/mark><\/strong><\/a>. Karibe\u2019s favorite foodies for Juneteenth is a must. What else did you expect!? Read on and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it. ?\u00a0<\/strong><\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is Juneteenth?<\/mark>\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

June 19, 1865 is a celebration of the ending of slavery in the United States. Juneteenth naming scheme is the combination of the month of June and the 19th<\/sup> day. Juneteenth is also commonly known as Freedom Day and Black Independence Day.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How Do We Celebrate Black Independence Day?\u00a0<\/mark><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Honoring Black Independence Day is celebrated in many different forms. The first rule is to have fun and recognize that this should be a jovial day. If you are looking for things to do, you should look into any local food festivals. Now I am biased because we offer cookware<\/span><\/strong><\/a>, but I do not know how to celebrate any other holiday without food in your stomach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are unable to find any food festivals, you can definitely form your own community gatherings. Have a private cookout or bring the whole neighborhood together with a block party. Put your cell phone down and take the time to get to know each other the old fashion way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lastly, why not reflect on the history and the impact African-Americans had within the United States. Educate the youth of your family history and notable heroes within our culture. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Karibe and Juneteenth\u00a0<\/mark><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The 19th<\/sup> day of June is a special day for African- American culture. Here at Karibe, we take the time to reflect and be grateful for the opportunities we have today. This is a day that we do not put ourselves under any stress and take the time to find inspiration and motivation to become better every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
